Why We Feel More Alive When We Travel

04/03/2026

Love awakens in us mainly through what we do, what we enjoy, and what truly fulfills us. Through that, we rediscover a world that isn't actually new — we have simply forgotten it somewhere along the way.

I often find myself returning in my thoughts to my childhood. I think about what I used to do, what I played with, and how I experienced those early years. And one strong memory always comes back to me — traveling. Even as a child, I loved discovering new things, breathing different air, seeing new landscapes, and exploring places that felt completely different from home.

Every trip was different, yet they all had one thing in common — a feeling of freedom. And that feeling has stayed with me ever since. I believe traveling is my greatest passion. I love breathing in new air, seeing the beauty of unfamiliar places, sitting and observing people, their cultures and traditions… tasting different foods and experiencing life in all its variety.

Perhaps that is also why my friend and I decided not to keep all these experiences only for ourselves, but to offer them to those who would love to travel but don't speak the language, don't have the courage to go alone, don't know how to arrange flights, accommodation, and everything that comes with traveling. Or simply to those who enjoy comfort and want to experience a trip without stress — because everything is organized for them.

We were given that kind of trust by a group of people with whom we set off on a ten-day journey to Portugal. We chose the beautiful Fisherman's Trail, which is considered one of the most stunning hiking routes in Europe. Our goal was simple — to enjoy ourselves, to experience every moment, to soak up the sun and recharge our energy… and we truly had plenty of sunshine throughout the entire trip.

We had a clear starting point and a clear destination, and everything turned out beautifully.

Our group was amazing. An inspiring community formed among us, and I felt truly good the entire time. Because even if you travel to the most beautiful place in the world, if you don't have the right people by your side, the experience can still feel empty and may leave you disappointed.

For me, it is incredibly important to be surrounded by people with whom I can truly be myself. People who inspire and support each other, and with whom I feel we naturally complement one another. Each of us carries our own challenges and life stories, and yet it is often through the people around us that we come to know ourselves more deeply.

And that is exactly what happened on this journey. I would say that even though the trip wasn't planned as a "spiritual" experience, something deep and meaningful still unfolded naturally.

And that is why we have decided to organize another journey. We would love to keep it again within a smaller group of wonderful people — for those who want to travel, but don't yet feel ready to go on their own.
